The dive operators pick you up and return you to your hotel after every day of diving. This is included in the price of the dives. There is a small entrance fee to the cenotes which amounts to about $8.00 depending on which cenote you dive.
To get there you have to fly into Cancun and then take ground transportation which is always available at the airport. The group rate is about $20.00 to $25.00 roundtrip depending how large the group is. They will take you directly to your hotel and then return you to the airport. The ride takes 45 minutes to 1 and 1/2 hours from the airport depending on where your staying.
There are package deals including cenote diving whether you stay in Cozumel, Playa Del Carmen or other Riviera towns. You have the option of doing all your diving in the cenotes or combining it with dives off the reefs in Cozumel and other reef areas. There are packages that include unlimited shore dives at no extra cost and they have a tremendous reputation for benefiting the novice divers since they can go on there own and work on their diving without additional costs. There are plenty of areas where the shore diving is excellent.
If you have a day off from diving or stay in the Tulum area don't pass up the chance to take a tour of the Mayan Indian ruins just outside Tulum. You can get a tour bus anywhere. It's an excellent idea when you have extra time to take from your diving.
If you have any interest I have a lot of information on all kinds of dive packages to the cenote dive area. Thses cenotes have a worldwide reputation of the best cave diving.
